At this age, Dr. Rambo can spot growth or alignment concerns and provide early care that sets the stage for long-term dental health. Most of the time, treatment isn’t needed until a later age—but if something is going wrong that needs attention, we can step in early and help correct it before it becomes more severe.
Dr. Rambo takes an honest and conservative approach to early orthodontics—she has children of her own and won’t recommend anything she wouldn’t feel comfortable doing for her own family.
Phase 1 Treatments for Kids
Our early orthodontic treatments help growing smiles stay on track. These appliances can prevent more serious issues later and may reduce or even eliminate the need for future orthodontic work.
Palate Expanders
We use palate expanders to widen the upper jaw and create the space needed for proper alignment. By gradually adjusting the appliance, we guide growth and prevent more complex crowding or crossbite issues down the road.

Phase 1 Braces
